    Summary

John Watson is a soulsurgeon damaged by war and by caring too much -- if there is such a thing. Sherlock Holmes is struggling with the effects of a curse that bids fair to end his days as the world’s only consulting detective unless a way is found to lift it.

...But Sherlock doesn’t believe in curses. Even assuming that he learns to believe in John... will that be enough to save him?

New! Take a look at the beautiful final-scene fanart from Sweetlittlekitty: "John, do you dance? The waltz, specifically?" ...Thank you so much, Kitty! (And thank you too, Mysterious Individual who commissioned it! You're wonderful!)

truly outstanding modern fairy tale that clevery explains things like the white lettering in the air as Sherlock speaks and renders an absolutely convincing look inside Sherlock's fabulous mind, best mind palace EVER, and the idea of Sherlock falling in love with the idea of being a fairy tale hero while just a boy, and his hidden hope....oh neve rmind, just read it.

Brilliant. John flips into an AU in which everyone is either Dom or sub. Could be dumb. Is brilliant. Ending a massive teaser for a sequel.

“The symbol perfects itself by the accumulation of approximations. As such, it is comparable to a spiral, or rather, a solenoid, which each repetition brings closer to its target.”

You don't have to ship Sherstrade to be in awe. WHAT a writer! Heart wrenching backstory on Sherlock, brilliantly imagined.

    Summary

Sherlock, still in Brazil for some reason, has set up an internet capture to alert him to any posting of John's, including strings of text typical of John's prose (or lack thereof) to pick up anything under a pen name. It leads him to a new blog, Sixty-Nine Whiskey, which describes the adventures of a former black ops / frontline combat medic turned accidental plaything of three well-dressed, powerful, tall, dark-haired, blue-eyed brothers...

(Combat medics are known as 68W, or "68 Whiskeys" in US Army parlance.)
