Set in season 4, canon up to 4.06 "We All Go A Little Mad Sometimes" where the story begins. No sire bond. Elena realizes that she can't live without either Salvatore brother, and Damon and Stefan decide that she shouldn't have to. They can all be mature about this, right? After all, vampires might get jealous like everyone else, but they're working on a much longer relationship timeline. Starts out with lots of Delena, but includes both Delena and Stelena, as well as Damon/Elena/Stefan. Not much broslash.

The best deconstruction and examination of A Study In Pink that I've seen. The author isn't afraid to look critically at the characters, and has some interesting thoughts that differ from those typically expressed in fandom.
