Summary
When Thor brought Loki home to stand trial, he had no idea what he was getting into. Loki has no plans to submit to this brand of justice, and whatever he can use to secure his freedom, he will. But Thor made a promise, and he will not easily see it go unfulfilled.
Neither of them meant for it to become this tangled, desperate thing. Neither of them meant for any of this...

A sequel to my 'A Play of Sun and Shadow', though able to be read alone.
His obsession had been golden; golden and strong. Picked out with bright light and poised powerful and determined, sharp glints of blue. Or with edges softened by half-light, broad strokes of shadow hiding planes fingers explored instead. Once obsession had been honor and valor, grave focus on duty belied by easy smiles, warmth of laughter.
