Summary
Bilbo Baggins, the newly appointed Master of Bag End, has just reached his majority. Summary
Plot: Merlin has fulfilled his destiny. Albion is alive and beautiful, and magic is no longer feared in the land. He doesn't have to hide his powers, and he doesn't have to polish anyone's armor. But then, at the signing of a document to commission the building of the first magical school: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Merlin is suddenly and violently jerked forward over a thousand years in the future. He has a new destiny to fulfill. Now he has to attend this school, hide the fact that he's the Merlin and defeat a Dark Lord that's messing with magic he knows nothing about.

Summary
Jack Frost has spent the last three hundred years trying to find the place where he belongs and at long last, he's found it with the Guardians. Unfortunately for Jack, learning the ropes of being a Guardian isn't easy, especially when you're not used to being a team player. As the Guardians face new enemies and old ones in their mission to protect the children of the world, Jack must look within himself to find the strength necessary to do the impossible, and the humility to learn from his own mistakes.

“Santa’s workshop,” he breathes, and in that moment, he is very much a child discovering something that all children long to see.
It is a place of light -- of beauty. Greenery is strung here and there as though Mother Nature has been convinced to lend a hand in decorating, thick pine wreaths and garlands that set off glittering candles. It is, Jack thinks, the best place he has ever seen, and he has had a hundred and fifty years to look.
He knocks at the door, this first time. He assumes that it will be as it ever is, that he will wait until the way is cleared and then pass, unnoticed, within. He is wrong, though -- and for an instant the joy of it eclipses all else. The furry creatures can see him. They can see him, and he feels irrationally grateful for it until the instant that they turn him away.

And almost, it ends there. Almost, they go their separate ways and let it stand for another four years, or another three hundred, for even Sanderson wonders whether he has been mistaken, after all. But Jack is agreeing with the Guardian of Hope, carrying obliviously onward. “Am I ever,” the boy says, fervently. “The 21st century’s great. You wouldn’t believe what people just throw out these days.”
The admission comes like a wave striking rocks on a stony shore; it raises icy splashes of dread wherever its spray hits. Three horrified stares – and one that is not so terribly surprised – turn to the boy’s face.
The spirit of winter falters to a stop, the reaction not the one he had anticipated. “What?” he asks.
