A story that starts with a spiral, ends with a fire, and is stained with ink and blood in the middle.
(In other words, a tattoo shop AU that totally took on a mind of its own.)

AU that slots neatly into canon in which Arthur and Eames have met before in a tattoo parlor and then meet again.

Sherlock walks into a room and takes all the space right out of it. He does the same inside John's head.

Bookmarker's Notes
John and Sherlock fit. Eventually, they figure that out. Absolutely delightful appearances by Mycroft and Anthea.
John's memories after that are post-coital and hazy. At some stage, Sherlock must have undone his laces and pulled off his shoes because John's next clear point of reference is Sherlock's voice by his ear, Sherlock saying, "I want to fuck you," in a low, intimate tone. It's not really a question, not when Sherlock's ridiculously, wonderfully long fingers are pushing in, so John doesn't bother replying. The groaning noise he makes is more than enough of a reply, really.
This somehow leads to John with his shirt and jacket still on, his knees hooked over Sherlock's bare shoulders and his hands pushing against the wall for leverage. He's pushing back, demanding more and harder, and the thing he remembers best is Sherlock's mouth, glint of teeth and swollen red lips caught in an open smile.

The con is fabulous and long and gritty.
For days, now, they've been binding this into her dreams. Woven into the sky, tangled up with the clouds and the sun's glare, they've hidden in her mind awful, awful things that scare her even to look at out of the corner of her eye.
...
They mixed it together, seasoned it with voices at the edge of hearing, stripped bare every raw nerve, and left nowhere to hide.
And if sharing a dream is like having unprotected sex with someone, then Ariadne is Patient Zero with a vengeance. The moment Browning tied his mind to hers, he let this in, and now it won't let him out.
Ariadne is protected from it, just barely. She's not protected from the knowledge of what she's doing, but that, like the trembling architecture, seems only fair.

Tommy wouldn't fight it, would just take it, breathless and squirming, wrecked and ruined, and maybe he'd scream again, like last night, scream for real--

Really fucking hot. Adam/Tommy and pain!kink.
A dark twist of lust laces sneakily through Adam's blood. He ignores the heavy throb of his dick to suck harder on Tommy's, hoping it'll distract them both from the bruises hot beneath Adam's fingers. But Tommy's writhing pulls the sheets untucked, and the quick puff of his breath turns to ragged moans as he presses on Adam's hand so hard it starts to hurt. Adam's wildly grateful that they don't have an audience for this because Tommy is loud, and getting louder. Later, once they're cooled down, cuddled up for awhile, Adam's going to remember how fucking hot Tommy going so crazy for him is. Right now it's throwing him for a total loop. He's good with his mouth in a lot of ways, fucking proud of it, too, but all of a sudden that whole thing flies out of his head. His teeth don't just catch on the ridge of Tommy's dick, they dig in, he can actually feel the shock of pain that reverberates up through Tommy's body and out through his mouth in a choked-off scream.

Absolutely wonderful re-telling of Snow White.
" ... Eat of this apple," the queen said.
"Do not, for it is poison," the huntress argued.
The princess looked from one to the other, and she was very clever, and put her hand on the huntress's leather-clad arm. "That is the point." She took a bite of the apple and fell, lifeless into the huntress's arms.

Bookmarker's Notes
A rich look at Cobb/Saito and how Cobb finally manages to reach Saito in limbo.
It takes him some time, when he wakes up in the surf, to remember what he's meant to do. For a long time he simply wanders in the city, remembering pieces of Mal that drift through his memory like yellowed newsprint. For a time it feels like he can't find focus, like everywhere he goes is the same, an endless labyrinth of crumbling buildings, of the remains of his former life. Without night, without sleep and dreams to break up the day, he can't tell if years have passed or merely days.

A story that I feel like I've read before and written like a lost dream.
Dream and Death are also a black panther and a snow leopard. And a pale elegant man with pointed ears, a Japanese schoolgirl in velvet and lace, an African warrior with a carved staff, a professor, a matador, a punk rocker, a knight, a girl in a sparkling quincenera gown, a soldier in dress blacks, a dripping thing with too many legs, a ghost-white birch tree and a gnarled black pine, a moth, a swan, a raven, a rat, a pair of spinning flashing stars.
They are ideas, words on a page, visions in an ancient cave. They are not even male and female, except perhaps in the grammatical sense: la serpiente (f); el gato (m).

In which Simon becomes Sylar's lawyer and then at some point he disappears. Sylar, not Simon. And then Peter happens.

Bookmarker's Notes
Painful, aching, heartbreaking.
Sometimes Simon felt as if he was doing nothing but cleaning up the messes that the older generation had left behind, unsure about the details of it all but forced to live with its repercussions, with the sudden deaths and the disappearances and the air of grief and loss and fear that sometimes surrounded them so thickly he couldn't breathe. He always imagined that someday he'd manage to figure out the truth, everything that had happened, and it would all make sense. Most of it he imagined centered around Sylar, but even now, with access to all of Sylar's history, it's as if he's still only holding a tiny piece of the puzzle, and a blurred one at that, and there's no one left alive enough or unscarred enough to pass down the story: this is what happened to us, and we're sorry. We tried our best.

'It's not just Death Eaters that kill Muds. After the Second World War, the Muggle civil rights movements got started. Black rights, and feminism, and gay rights. We -- wizards -- we never had the sixties, because we just kept replaying the war, over and over again: Grindelwald in the forties, then Voldemort in the seventies, then Voldemort again in the nineties. I just hope this time it's really finished, and we can sort out our own fucking house.'
Hermione is back at school after a summer in the Muggle world, and everything is changing. But getting closer to Harry doesn't get her any closer to the war - until she's unexpectedly enrolled in the Order of the Phoenix, and meets Hestia Jones, the founder of Mud Pride.

Bob gasped. "Doc -- Susan's cheating on Derek?!"
"No, Bob," said Dr. Cockroach. "We're past Derek, remember? Also, the anatomy isn't even remotely compatible; it'd be like getting jostled on a crowded bus at rush hour." He turned reassuringly to Susan. "Even odds it's pulling you toward the wrong set of genitals."
Susan yelled, "The wrong set of what?!"
"They're hermaphrodites."

Saito is a BAMF and upgrades the PASIV, and it is AWESOME.
You didn't like it? the PASIV said mournfully. Did it lack romance? I was going to write you a tenderer version, but I didn't know what colour Eames' eyes are.
"They're blueish greenish," Arthur said.
The PASIV snickered.
"I keep files on these types of things. There's nothing sordid about it," Arthur said, and whipped them through a series of blockages that exploded in a fiery inferno the moment they passed.
What do you think of male pregnancy? the PASIV wondered. Arthur slammed the brakes, hard.
