Summary

(This was called 'Pride and Perdition' when it was tiny and a joke but I got tired of that because it wasn't applicable anymore so it is not called that now.)
This began as a playful one-off tumblr fic, but it grew a little. Captain Novak, retired home from the Navy, meets the elder Mr Winchester at a rather dull ball - and then meets him again when Mr Winchester's stepsister (Miss Harvelle) and ward (Miss Bradbury) decide to 'borrow' Captain Novak's coach for the afternoon.
