    MI6’s "Project Double-Oh" consists of androids created by Q-Branch. The world’s most dangerous technopath is bribed into becoming the new Quartermaster when given the chance to resurrect his dead partner, James. Thus, Q creates 007. But 007 shows signs of defect: free will, emotions, and alliance to Q rather than MI6. Once 007 is ordered for termination, Q intervenes. Q refuses to lose James again - even if it kills him.

Clearly he hadn’t been expecting such a direct approach and Q presses on before he has a chance to recover. “However, when it happens it will happen on my terms.”

    There was definitely a significant gap between the time Bond was breaking down over M's death in the chapel to the time a confident Bond walked into Mallory's office to accept his newest assignment. What, or more importantly, who, put him back together again? Basically, lots of porn with plot.
