It helped keep his makeshift family together. It provided a new sweatshirt for Tim who couldn’t ever seem to get warm in the winter, a proper backpack for Damian who had clutched it as though it was made of gold, and ingredients for Jason so he could cook properly for all them.

Great AU focusing on BatFamily interactions, with a nice side of Bruce/Dick. There aren't many stories that draw out a Bruce/Dick romance with such care, and it's been a pleasure to read this, and get invested in the entire cast, really. The plot is interesting and well-handled, and there are a lot of great interactions and character development to boot.

This is really just fantastic, epic, bad-wrong Dick/Slade -- hot porn and character study in equal measure, with a vague Bat-shaped spectre hovering in the background (as it should), and I'm kind of too bowled away to say anything more coherent than that, really.

First of all, this is by one of my favourite people & authors in this fandom. Second: Dick!Bats and Bruce!Bats. Third? This has humour, sexiness, and so much meaty, complex emotional development between Bruce and Dick. Not just on a shippy level, but kleine_aster has such a great hold of their respective characters and relationships in canon -- and she does a pefect, seamless job of exploring those in this story, along with extending it to include this relationship on a romantic level.
Just really beautiful!
