A slave is not meant to be pampered like this, but Ronon doesn't care. He interrupts the meetings he has with the other Satedans and the leaders of the Pegasus galaxy to make sure John is comfortable and doesn't fall asleep on the cold floor, and he treats John as if he is something precious and valuable, not just a slave.
