This is the tale of how the diabolical matchmaking plans of four corgis owned by one of New York City's most eligible bachelors actually succeeds. It involves a variety of methods to get their human pet to wake up at the crack of dawn, a hilarious heart-to-heart and mentions of showing pandas porn. It begins with "It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of four frankly very handsome corgis must be in want for a mate."

Summary
Erik Lehnsherr has been in love with his ward's tutor - ex-tutor now - for quite some time. He thinks it is unrequited and doesn't plan on telling Charles, content to have him by his side, until consequences force them apart and Charles returns to Westchester to be engaged to Kurt Marko's son.
Erik summons Charles one afternoon in the hopes of confessing only to bail out at the last minute. He is surprised when Charles has a choice few things to say to him.

From birth he had been told stories about that mysterious boy called The Prince, or his Betrothed, and who one day would be called Husband. Charles would catch his thoughts drifting off while in private lessons under strict, stoic tutors, learning the piano under painful raps to the knuckles, locked away, looking at the sun through stained glass, his mind slipping into the hazy day dream of his life yet to come...

Summary
During the big one-oh, Charles had an accident and has been blind since. For years he stays emotionally cut-off and isolated from most of society with the exception of his nurse, Jean Grey, and his half-sister, Raven Darkholme. Then he meets Erik Lehnsherr, the manager at Cafe Kilroy and it's unsettling when Charles finds himself enjoying more than just the chai latte Erik makes him every morning.
Charles is blind, but Erik is completely okay this, and Charles doesn't understand why.
