He’s maybe four or five, Mike would guess, and his hair is kind of long, side-swept but perfectly cut bangs that are almost falling into his eyes and his thick, dark hair just starting to curl below his ears. He is staring right back at Mike and his eyes are huge, but somehow don’t look out of place with his features, tiny button nose that is the cutest thing Mike has ever seen and a perpetually amused little smirk that is clearly a Specter trait. It’s far more endearing on a five year old. The kid speaks and Mike is mesmerised.

Friendship and mind melds with Spock, who's there to forget his past and the rejection he's had to live with all his life. They love each other, they fill each other's empty spaces, they save each other.

Because the kid who’s coming is Vulcan, for heaven’s sake. There’s nothing fun about Vulcans. They’re logical and boring and, if Jim’s being completely honest, just the tiniest bit scary. And this is the boy who will be in his house, sharing his room, sleeping in his brother’s bed. How is he even supposed to start trying to make friends with someone so . . . well, alien?

John tries to kill himself thinking Sherlock is dead. They reunite but have to go and play Moriarty's twisted game. Sherlock goes to Amsterdam to battle with addiction. Irene Adler goes o Berlin to "play" o the death. John goes to Afghanistan to recover a flower. Painful and wonderful. S/J Love. Mycroft is awesome here.
