Summary
She keeps searching, because finding is the only thing that will make her life worthwhile, even if she's no longer sure she will recognize the Grail when she sees it. (Vague spoilers through 2.22 "God Mode.")

Prompt fill: Reese and Finch, holed up somewhere with Reese hallucinating his past and no way for Finch to leave or not notice.

Summary
Not that the Library is only a workplace. It has atmosphere and beauty and dust and shadows; it holds lingering echoes of lightning keystrokes and reluctant smiles; it's where he meant when he told Carter he wanted to go home. It's the place he works with Finch, and therefore it's like nowhere else in the world.
And now they have to leave it behind.

Summary
Finch was in the Library multitasking, feeding Bear and forging a research grant while making puns about computer bugs and (Reese was pretty sure) Hamlet; Reese was in the bathroom in his loft dressing abrasions and thinking vaguely about Finch's voice as antibiotic ointment. Or possibly lubricant.
For an anonymous Reese/Finch voice kink prompt on meme_of_interest. The prompt went the other way around, but I took advantage of a loophole. Because, ahem.

Summary
They spoke randomly, as if nothing had changed, but of course their life together had never been immutable or stable; today's alteration sang in a different key, louder and with wilder harmonies, but it was the same old tune. He could hum it in his sleep: the ballad of Harold and John and the walls tumbling down.
John, Harold and Grace try to make things work. Sequel to Phoenix (which those who wish to avoid confusion should read first).

Summary
The seed had germinated in Finch's mind, and had been growing since into a strong but twisted plan of action. Certainly he'd had it all thought out when he took down the volume again and slapped it on the desk in front of John.
"Cyrano de Bergerac," he'd said. "English translation. You should read it," and then he'd walked away.

Summary
True, I talk of dreams,
Which are the children of an idle brain,
Begot of nothing but vain fantasy,
Which is as thin of substance as the air
And more inconstant than the wind... -

Summary
As Simon Illyan burrows into Harold Finch's history and investigates threats against ImpSec, his interests and those of Finch and Reese inevitably come into conflict.

Piotr asks Negri for a report. A sort of outtake for my Thirty, as requested by ailis_fictive (but no need to read that to understand this. Assuming it makes any sense at all, that is).

Summary
A walk at night in the Emperor's garden leads to some interesting revelations. As requested by Philomytha, the five-years-later sequel to The Emperor's Garden (but readable without it). (And, er, the pairing. Not really, entirely, though I felt those inclined to be shocked should be warned.)

Summary
James Hathaway often thought that at his christening he must have been cursed, by an underhanded and satirical fairy, with the twin blessings of an excellent memory and an inability to run away from his past.
Written for Lysimache in the 2012 Lewis Secret Santa at the lewis_challenge LJ comm. Rated for some long-awaited sex and a few bad words, overwhelmed by ridiculous amounts of literary allusion and exploratory metaphor.

Reese is feeling domestic. Reaction shot to 2x06 "The High Road" and 2x07 "Critical," with booze and cocoa. This is the closest to fluff I get.

Summary
ImpSec analyst Harold Finch and ex-Armsman John Reese are both lonely outsiders; together, they fight crime. Though that will change, if Simon Illyan has anything to say about it.
AU-PoI/sorta-canon Vorkosiverse crossover (in other words, no one herein has ever seen New York). Some spoilers for Barrayar, but should be more or less comprehensible to all readers.

Summary
Later, he is inexcusably imprecise about the duration of his happiness. It's somewhat short of four years; one thousand, four hundred and thirty-three days are what he's given. It's a prime number. In the end, it's only divisible by him.
