Summary
The thing is, being eighteen fucking sucks.
It’s been long enough since he did this the first time that he doesn’t remember what it felt like, but all Mike knows is that his skin feels too tight and he’s got way too much energy and no way to burn it off, and he’s constantly frustrated and snappish, veering from contentedness one moment to touchiness the next all-too-easily. And then there’s Jeff.

Summary
Sasha’s got a quiet sense of humor that Eric wants to keep teasing out of him; there’s nothing quiet about his laughter, though, when Eric says something dumb when they’re sitting on the bench and watches Sasha go pink-faced, eyes crinkling up and mouth open. It makes Eric want to keep saying dumb things, which shouldn’t be too hard.

Summary
Jeff starts growing his hair out a little bit; not a lot — his hair gets kind of...fluffy when it’s too long, he’s well aware of this — but just enough that you could twist your fingers in it and pull, if you wanted to.

Summary
The point is, being a vampire doesn’t really mean much in the day-to-day parts of Jordan’s life. That is, until Ryan begins some sort of fashion campaign of v-necked shirts and open-throated jackets and other things designed to drive Jordan crazy.

Summary
It starts the first time they all go out when Jeff's on the team — he gets separated from the rest of them and starts talking to a pretty, red-haired girl who's clearly interested, though that fact seems to be escaping Jeff. Around the sixth time that she smiles up at him and sort of bumps his arm, Jeff's eyes widen, and even from across the bar, Eric can see him flush in sudden comprehension. Eric's eyes narrow as he watches them intently; he can’t hold back a frown when they leave together, but that's just because Jeff's his rookie and he's supposed to be looking out for him. No other reason at all.

Summary
Jess’s dad is the one who first put her on a broom, so long ago she can barely remember it. She must have loved it then, she knows, because she’s loved it every time since. There’s nothing like the feel of the wind screaming in your ears when you’re up in the air, you and your broom slicing the sky like a dart, the chill slapping color into your cheeks. Nothing like it.

Summary
Johnny’s taking care of things back home, Patrick’s keeping himself sharp while he’s here, and every time they talk, Patrick’s reminded that--unbelievably--he has a real, adult relationship that’s lasting distance and time and their screwups alike.
A real, adult relationship where he’s allowed a free pass for his birthday, apparently.
Patrick’s pretty damn lucky.

Summary
Pat’s been carrying around these feelings for Johnny like an extra limb for years, now. It sucks, a little bit, but mostly it’s not too bad. Sometimes it blindsides her, though, like when the lockout ends and she comes back home.

Summary
“So, you Skype your boy a lot or something?” Kaner asks when he’s been there for a little while and heard Segs talk about Tyler enough to catch a clue. There’s something odd in his voice--a little plaintive, like he’s asking, so how do you deal with it?
Segs hesitates, shrugs. Says, “Yeah, something like that.”
Inside his head, Tyler laughs.

Summary
They’ve had this connection for nearly as long as they’ve known each other; Patrick doesn’t know why it happened, what made it so that out of all the people in the world, it’s Johnny and only Johnny whose thoughts he can read, but there it is. One day it was just Patrick in his head, and the next, he’d woken up with the background awareness of Johnny in there too, and a panicked, thumping voice saying, Oh, shit. You too?

Summary
Waking Jordan up from a nap is basically Taylor’s favorite thing ever. He doesn’t have to do it a lot, because usually they have alarms set or whatever, but sometimes Jordan just turns his off and falls back asleep without ever fully waking up, and then it’s Taylor’s job to go wake him up. In the most obnoxious way possible, naturally. What a lot of people don’t realize is that Jordan loves sleeping, and he’s pretty much a disaster when anyone tries to get him to stop. Taylor’s pretty happy being one of the few who know that, though; he lives with Jordan, he’s allowed.

Summary
“It’d be convenient, and it makes sense,” Pat says when she brings it up, her shoulders curving in a shrug as she slides her way into Janie’s space and lets her fingers brush Janie’s wrist in a touch that’s innocent, a sly, winsome smile on her face that is anything but.

Summary
Patrick sighs and sinks further in his seat. “So I was playing truth or dare with my sisters the other day,” he says, eyeing Johnny challengingly like he’s daring him to make something of it. Johnny’s mouth twitches, but he keeps his smile tamped down for now; if Patrick’s giving Johnny an opening like that to make fun of him, then that means there’s something even better coming.
“Uh-huh,” he says, makes a go on motion.

Summary
“Nervous?” Jeff asks, against Mike’s mouth, and Mike pulls back and shrugs, running his thumb over Jeff’s bottom lip as he straightens up.
“Nah,” Mike says, smiling. “It’s just you.” It’s just Jeff, who Mike’s seen from his gangliest, goofiest-looking stage to now; who puked into Mike’s kitchen sink, once, and then looked so miserable afterward that Mike cleaned it up himself; who looked so pale and small when Mike had to leave him, and who glowed like he’d swallowed the fucking sun when he came to Mike in L.A. Jeff’s been there with Mike from the heartbreak of being inches from victory and having it wrenched away, and he’s been there for the disbelieving, breathless flush of lifting the Cup and knowing they’ve won something no one can take from them after that. There’s not a single thing about Jeff that would make Mike nervous about spending the rest of his life with him.
