Summary
"Claire?" Jimmy asks. Gone is the hope, the reverence from their first conversations; gone too is the fear and pain of their last. This is a tone of desperation, one last stand before grief overwhelms. Castiel can sympathize, but she will not lie.

Summary
"When a time traveler alters the timeline, what he's really doing is finding an alternate path time can take, and through his presence and actions willing the universe to take that path instead. It's a difficult task to perform successfully, and often a second time traveler can come back and set the universe to rights very easily because the universe still remembers that original path, and prefers it.
"But - and here's the loophole you unknowingly took advantage of - anyone time traveling while a path is altered or reset exists outside of the universe, beyond the reach of time. If that changed timeline resulted in, say, that time traveler's death, then the original would be dead, yes. But the version currently time traveling would still be alive."

Summary
Beckett's newest case has all appearance of being an especially weird one: someone burned wing shapes into the ground around the victim's body, and the only witness says the killer - who is a perfect match for comic book character John Constantine, by the way - disappeared into thin air. And that's not even including the FBI agents that Castle recognized and blackmailed into leaving the scene with him.
Something bigger is going on here, but what? What isn't Castle telling her? And can Beckett figure it out before everything goes to Hell - literally?
