He tries to think of the perfect time, the perfect moment—maybe on a date, when they’re alone together, but no, what if that ruins the moment, ruins the evening, they don’t get enough chances to go out together as it is—and not during sex, that seems tawdry and cheap—and missions are clearly not the time or place. Not in front of the others.

It had started when they were rookies.
Jonny turned his head to the side so that Patrick’s lips actually fell on his jawline. His hands left Patrick’s arm and came to pull his head down to Jonny’s neck. Patrick stood, a bit stiffly, as Jonny rubbed circles into his back. After a moment, he led them both to bed.
Patrick clung to Jonny, because he knew that Jonny would let him. The Blackhawks’ captain was nothing if not a good Dom, but that didn’t help when Patrick was just then figuring out why Jonny’s touch felt so cold on his skin.
