Set during the final chapter of the manga/the corresponding Brotherhood episode. Ed has made his offer to Truth. What if Truth refuses to accept it? Equivalent exchange. A toll must still be paid…
Not a death-fic, nor a parallel universe fic, or anything of that sort, though obviously an alternate ending of sorts. Be warned, though—said toll will be pretty brutal. Relationships will be implied if they do crop up, all pretty much canon. -

If you haven't ever seen the Sassy Gay Friend, Youtube "Second City Network Sassy Gay Friend." The basic idea is that, if several tragic literary and historical heroines had had their very own Sassy Gay Friend to advise them, their terrible fates could have been avoided. The best ones are Juliet, Ophelia, and Desdemona.
NOTE: Aside from language, this is pretty much entirely G to PG rated. There's a few cracks at a certain popular slash pairing involving a certain titular character (and another less popular fem-slash pairing), but that's it. -

They're both badly hurt, but Dean's got it decidedly worse this time around, and feeling pretty belligerent about it. Because hospitals? Not exactly his thing. Not after the last time. Set after "In My Time of Dying," written for a "lonely prompt" for the hoodietime (Dean-centric hurt/comfort) community over at Livejournal: Sam, Dean, gen, any season. Sam and Dean are both injured enough to land themselves in the hospital for a couple days. They end up sharing a hospital room. Dean hates being in the hospital, and Sam has to reassure him.

Coda to "The French Mistake," written for a prompt by the lovely phreakycat for one of ohsam h/c comment fic memes over on Livejournal last year. I don't want to give away the plot but the request was essentially for some heavy angst pertaining to this episode and some unexpected consequences of inter-dimensional travel for Sam. Didn't think it was possible, but when I saw the prompt, my brain went to that "challenge: accepted" place that seems to write so many of my cruelest fics for me.

This was written for my lovely roomie, who requested a Mark/Joanne. I suppose it's more of a friendship fic than anything else--with, perhaps, the faintest glimmer of something more--but their relationship has such a fascinating dynamic that I had to try it out. It's post-musical and sort of movieverse, I suppose, as long as you take into consideration the scene of the film involving Maureen hitting on Alexi Darling's secretary, and Maureen's subsequent "proposal." (However, that said, I do infinitely prefer the musical to the movie....) -

So the request for the prompt was essentially for Sam-centric angst, and I hope I served that part up well enough, but it spins off into a much bigger, much more injurious story, exploring just what Sam might've been up to between finding out he's Lucifer's vessel and when Dean meets up with him again. Whumpage ahoy.
Prompt: "Immediately following Lucifer's visit in 5x03, Sam is alone in his motel room trying to come to terms with the idea that he is destined to be Lucifer's vessel."

But they've had worse, and Dean figures that as long as Sam is alive and safe and with him, they can deal with everything else. But it turns out he doesn't know the half of it. Warnings: Allusions to torture and mildly graphic self-harm. Allusions to schizophrenia but I'm not claiming to diagnose or portray it. …Yup, that should cover it. Sammy definitely gets the short end of the stick in this story, but I'm pretty indiscriminate with the whump here, so Dean and Bobby aren't really safe either… -
