The Lord said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other." (Genesis 11:6-7) A conversation to bridge the gaps. The value of communication. (Written in December 2005 for the CLFF Wave 14, working from the scene in episode 2.17 Rosetta where Lex finds Clark's family tree.)

Summary
The thing was that being invulnerable... sometimes it deadened sensation, just enough that it made things difficult. Maybe it didn't work that way for Kal but things were different for Kon. The TTK spread flatly over his skin and he had to think pretty hard to thin it out, make things truly feel.

Summary
It was no shock that Lex Luthor created clones, that he'd been working on the technology for years and years. He'd created Kon-El out of wholesale slivers of DNA, so his brilliance wasn't in question. Lex's motives were always in question though, never mind that if he'd worked for good he could've surpassed Einstein in the field of science, rather than modeling himself after Oppenheimer's darkest days.
