Shortly after Operation: Annihilate and Amok Time, Spock saves McCoy's life by bringing the wrath of aliens imprisoning them and Kirk on himself, instead. He is not as prepared for the consequences as he thought, and it is his friends who will have to be there to help him pick up the pieces in the aftermath. If he will let them.
