Summary
It’s one of Ethan’s hilarious little quirks—he refuses to sleep within a twenty foot radius of anyone, thirty feet if space allows, having declared himself a menace to all and sundry when asleep.
Just because it’s true doesn’t make it less obnoxious.

“If there’s anything we have learned in our work it is that there are risks worth taking. So I have to speak now, while I’m drunk on courage and hope—” he drew in a quick and painful inhale, “Though I may regret it at once.”
Alternate summary: one day in March 2020 I went, 'hey, what if I wrote a Benthan love confession loosely modeled on the confession in Jane Austen's Emma?' Now *checks calendar*, three years later, here we are.

Summary
The city carried too many emotions. There was too much noise, too much happening, too much pain. In alternate circumstances Benji Dunn might have gotten used to it—might have found it interesting, even exciting. However, due to his and his mother’s relative poverty and being frequently in the company of a man he’d almost definitely have fallen in love with if he didn’t happen to be an industrialist mogul—well. It was all a bit much.

Summary
They’re walking in companionable silence, Benji blessing the good fortune that led to his and Ethan’s walks home running parallel, when Benji glances over to find Ethan shivering.
“Really Ethan?” he asks, hiding his smile. “It’s a balmy sixty-seven degrees, almost too warm for a stroll. You can’t be cold.”

Summary
Only a very few people in the world know that the celebrated and reclusive poet Jack Allen is just Kansas mechanic Dean Winchester, a high school dropout with a few bucks to his name. Not that it matters anymore; life has left him so wrung out he never wants to pick up another pen.
Until, that is, a string of coincidences leads Dean to auditing a poetry course with one Dr. Castiel Novak. The professor is wildly intelligent, devastatingly handsome...and just so happens to be academia's foremost expert on the poetry of Jack Allen.

Summary
“Excuse me, gents,” he said, “but there’s meant to be a sword around here somewhere as well, at least, that’s what it says here at any rate, and I was wondering…”
Aziraphale seemed embarrassed. He looked around himself, vaguely puzzled, then stood up, to discover that he had been sitting on the sword for the last half hour or so. He reached down and picked it up. “Sorry,” he said, and put the sword into the box.
