    Summary

Foggy meets a man with a red oak wand and a sweet smile. Over the next eight years, Foggy makes a lot of coffee, reads a lot of tea leaves, breaks a lot of rules and casts a lot of charms. He also spends a good amount of his time pining over his perfect partner and trying to keep his wild outbursts of emotional magic to a minimum.

    DD/HP AU Matt/Foggy
This is perhaps the most magical DD story I've ever come across. That's not a pun, it's the effect of the story, it's charming and magical and utterly sweet. This is a strangely wondrous story because it's Matt/Foggy and somehow fandom writes them as frequently very happily ever after characters but being set in HP verse would tend to make just the opposite true. I adore HP but both canon and fanon have some very dark elements and this story is positively luminous with joy and wonder and the inevitable conviction that Matt and Foggy are the perfect OTP. It's cosmic karma that they must be together and the story shows them both to great advantage. I'm not sure if Foggy is as warm and sweet in canon as in this story but it makes me really want him to be. Seeing Foggy though the behavior of his magic and the things it does with and for Matt is such a marvelous device in this story. I'm green with envy for the ideas used here and I'm not even a writer.
CV has written some fabulous stories, I mean the kind that I want to read again and again. Leverage stories especially seem very apt to her style, her versions of OT3 are delectable and I think some of the best around in the fandom. I could wish for more of the word count to them but certainly the DD fics get a lot more of that and really shine because of it.
There are so many good things to say that I'd just be babbling but I hope all of my friends that check my bookmarks will read and then leave good things to say for CV.

Just a note, most of her stories have lots of comments and I'm always a bit reluctant to leave squee and I do prefer actual comments that make a point of saying some specific things that the story did that made it special. That being said, after the first few thousand comments I feel a bit inadequate to elucidate something that none of the ones before me have mentioned. I imagine it gets really old to some writers so you won't see a lot of my comments in that section but trust me there are many superlatives that I'd love to use and lots of very specific things love about each of these stories.

A tiny podfic, utterly insignificant in the giant fandom of Avengers. That is unless it touches you. It touched me and I'm thankful to have found it. Some might be inclined to judge some other pods by this reader as - heh, impertinent... but I've loved every one of the Swears series and I think they should be heard by all of my family and friends.

This story specifically should speak to many people in and out of the Jewish community because it calls to anyone that longs to connect with something deeper and larger than themselves. It's perhaps even more relevant now than in other times the seemed more harsh. Knowing your identity is essential to living and that's what this reading speaks to me of and I think it makes it a universal tale.

I know nothing of the author or reader except their words but I admire their efforts and hope they will continue to create new works.

A short, humorous story with Stan and Nat and the odd assortment of support staff. For anyone that loves Marvel comics and the stamp on their pedigree that is Stan Lee this is a keeper.

As a boy that grew up reading Marvel as a whole and remembers X-men and Fantastic Four comics with single digit issue numbers it's heartwarming and frankly embarrassing how emotional this story made me. Stan is a seemingly spry fellow but time isn't on his side and it's so much better to appreciate him now than after he's left the building.

As if I didn't love Copperbadge enough already this story makes me wish she could write a comic for the real Marvel verse and get so many of the things right that time and social resistance have caused to be written in a way that doesn't really reflect the heart of what Stan Lee did in his early years. Much like Gene R. he wrote a world where individual matter and nobility of spirit often saved the day when power and might couldn't. This story is a warm and sweet tribute to Stan and I hope all of my friends will catch the rec and read it.

A nice long story with lots and lots of neat references to Real Life. These two authors have done an amazing job of using real world history and events to make their story so grounded and startlingly vivid. Some of the history I knew, some I had to read up on and it was at times an eye-opener. I tend to have a certain view of history (as most of the kids that I went to school with do) and it's a lot more rosy when it's glossed over by text books and cold war media. The fact is that Steve and Bucky were literally committing a crime if they had a homosexual relationship. It's stunning when seen from that pov. and so dismal.

For me, this was a great piece because it dealt with the day to day struggles which were awful and the internal conflicts and emotional pain that these men went through. That would have been a grim existence by any standard and yet the found their joy with each other and it made it possible to make it day by day. Seriously, this story illustrates just how primitive our culture was and how hostile it could be to anyone that was different.

I enjoyed the story for a lot of reasons but perhaps it was the devotion of these two men that shone through and made it timeless and inspiring even in dark times.

Meta podfic on Blanket Permission Statements and some marvelous thoughts on the subject of creative works.

This, this kind of BPS is so much needed in fandom and so very much about making it better for everyone. It makes the world of fandom bigger and more abundant and adds more for creators and consumers alike.
