Summary
When Charles first meets Erik, he is just the sheltered, private school going, too deep in the closet Xavier boy. Erik shows Charles how to live, what it's like to be loved, and then he leaves. Just like that, Charles is left with only tainted memories and a kick out the front door.
They meet years later and Charles is anything but what he was eight years ago.

Summary
During the big one-oh, Charles had an accident and has been blind since. For years he stays emotionally cut-off and isolated from most of society with the exception of his nurse, Jean Grey, and his half-sister, Raven Darkholme. Then he meets Erik Lehnsherr, the manager at Cafe Kilroy and it's unsettling when Charles finds himself enjoying more than just the chai latte Erik makes him every morning.
Charles is blind, but Erik is completely okay this, and Charles doesn't understand why.

Summary
He sends letters, of course, because out in the sticks there's not much to do except tend to Westchester's endless affairs. And, of course, avoid tending to those affairs by going on walks, riding, and writing letters that make him hard and thrill secretly when he hands the properly-sealed, addressed envelope to the butler.
I was in London the other day, and in a bookseller's along The Strand I found the most interesting and instructive volume. Or rather, it would have proved instructive if we had not already worked our way through much of the repertoire.

Summary
He was hopelessly in love with Hank and if being "the other guy" was the only way Alex could have him, even if it was for awhile, even if it was just a fallacy, then Alex would do what he could to keep his well-constructed fantasy.
From this prompt on livejournal: Hank and Raven are married. Alex is his colleague at the office who he shags on the side. For whatever reasons he has, Hank has no intention of leaving Raven for Alex but he has no intention of stopping this "thing" he has with Alex either. Raven has no idea what's going on and Charles is the politically influential brother-in-law. Throw in as much angst as possible, bonus points for Scott being the disapproving yet supportive (in the sense of he does not like the emotionally destructive relationship Alex has gotten into, and not because he's homophobic) older brother. Ending up to writer anon. Surprise me.
