Summary
This is a sort of "Doctor Who" meets "Avatar" story, without the avatars.
The Doctor, Amy, and Rory land on a human colony world where the colonists live in gigantic trees. A whole city in the treetops. But what starts out as a lark, ends with a murder, an ancient mystery, and a local race of "not quite intelligent" spider-monkey-like creatures that might have a reason for not quite being intelligent.

Summary
A real marriage wasn’t all fairy-tale picnics and ice-skating on the River Thames. It had fights and periods of stony silence. It also had times when you watched your husband be smitten with his younger companion and wonder if, despite his pleas to let him make things up to her, that he would be really happy with someone else.

Bookmarker's Notes
Sequel to "The Lone and Level Sands Stretch Far Away" - where River and the Doctor fight after Amy and Rory's "deaths" and she leaves, they get back together later, and this is the continuation of that story as River agrees to continue traveling with the Doctor and Clara, only to find the Doctor fascinated with Clara now, and finding herself feeling like the abandoned wife.

Summary
River had enough Ph.Ds to know that it was their grief over so many things bubbling to the surface: her parents’ death, their mishmash of a marriage, and enough emotional baggage to fill Space Titanic. The Doctor showed his grief outwardly, and she buried everything deep inside her until the pressure was too much. So, she’d gone out for milk … and hadn’t been back.

Summary
Miles and his family attend the quaddie ballet version of the opera Cordelia Naismith.
Written for Bujold Fest 2010
Prompt: Somebody not from Barrayar writes an opera titled Cordelia Naismith. It includes an aria "Shopping" in the scene when Cordelia comes home with Miles and a severed head. I'd like to get people's reactions.

Bookmarker's Notes
The Quaddies do an opera about Cordelia's ending of Vordarian's Pretendership by bringing back his head, literally. Miles and his family and children, and his friends' families and children all go to see it. Barrayaran history, being performed by mutants. The world has come a long way.

“And what are you so pleased about, my bad girl?” His voice startled her and she whirled around, a hand clutched to her chest as she noticed him, leaning against her cell bars – still wide open from her break out to go have a little fun.
