It felt like Erik’s stomach dropped to the bottom of his legs. It was sick-making. Erik was so confused. Six days really wasn’t much time. Before Charles he could go weeks, and much more for most people, without saying more than two words to anyone. Now the very idea of Charles enjoying his absence made Erik feel weak.
