    Summary

Sherlock presses his nose into my hair and inhales. “Told myself the whole way here we wasn’t gonna get into this again,” he says low. His breath moves soft against my scalp, and his words rumble deep into my bones. It sounds like the open sky throwing wind against the boulders up on Baker, rattling the thin walls of the tent with the rushing force of the mountain.

I hum. I don’t believe him for a second – steppin’ out of his gleaming white Ford back in Signal with his best shirt on and his curls all combed lookin’ up at me like he just took a breath after five years of holding it.

I know because I did the same.

I can't even get out the words. I'll edit this again when I can. A Brokeback Mountain crossover that absolutely ended me and revived me and cleansed me. Heartbreaking and breathtaking and fucking beautiful.

Everybody likes John Watson. He's down-to-earth and unassuming, and standing next to Sherlock, well... It's no wonder everyone assumes Sherlock's the horrific flatmate.

It's as irritating as any false assumption. Sherlock may be difficult at times, but John is hardly the flat-sharing ideal.

Ah, s1 fic, when everything was........simple? Is that the word? What a wonderful little window of time to revisit though, years and multiple seasons later.

Baker Street is very much the same. Only different.

And Sherlock is just trying not to drown.

What the FUCK, this is amazing. Wraps up so many loose ends from series 4 (AND ALSO FROM BEFORE SERIES 4) that I honestly just want to cry. A tremendous work, with lines that cut deep every chapter and a painfully beautiful Sherlock POV. I think it will not fail to be anything but healing for those looking for a fix-it for s4. I also think this was the first such cathartic longfic post-s4 that I've read, and I'm truly thankful that this fandom produces incredible fic the way that southern California produces sunshine. Which isn't to say that I don't think fic is the product of hard work, polishing, and a boatload of effort, but oh my god. The reader in me just cries with the undeserved wealth.

Sherlock thinks the Tim Horton's game, "Roll Up the Rim to Win", is rigged. John is sure it's not. They make a bet.

Perhaps the most Canadian of AUs, and I think that's quite saying something. The humor of this is perfect. I giggled so much reading this, and so many details are just gorgeous: the warmth and wit of their dialog, their competitiveness, how quickly John forgives, how absurd everything always becomes. Wonderful.

You know what, I'm going to regret not bookmarking this and I refuse to let my future self down when I go back to look for this. The one where John tries to train Sherlock out of bad behavior by squirting him in the face with cold water. Like a cat. Fucking glorious.
