Summary
“Who are you?” Jack asks.
The man laughs loudly, echoes bouncing off of the dungeon walls. “Why, my dear Jack,” he says, leaning closer and reaching for Jack’s chin, “I am the Nightmare King.”
(A retelling of Beauty and the Beast, with far more sass, a large number of failed romantic dates and an increasingly inappropriate amount of flirting)

"So, what, we're looking for a killer Jack Frost?"
"Hey." The boy seemed indignant.
"Dean, can you just be realistic for a minute?"
"Hey!"

Summary
Steve takes things like personal responsibility and respect seriously. Tony's got people he pays to take care of that kind of thing, and anyway, he's pretty sure that he's going to die of some exotic disease in his workshop, because Dummy's still a little spotty about what is 'clean' enough to put on an open wound. The rest of the Avengers are in this for personal gain, except for Clint, he just enjoys being a dick.
And some things shouldn't be a chore.

The Guardian of Courage by LordofLies

Summary
We measure the strength of our courage against the weight of our fears. Those who do not know fear do not know bravery. Those that know fear understand that strength cannot exist without a force to push against.
A year after Pitch’s bid for power, Jack finds his sleep plagued by terrible nightmares. In his search for answers, he uncovers questions. Just who is Pitch Black? Where did he come from, and who was he before he became the Boogieman? His curiosity leads him on a quest for redemption—to bring Pitch back into the light, and convince him to become a guardian. But to play games with shadows is a dangerous business, and Jack will find himself drawn into the remnants of a war that never really ended. Pitch Black is more than he appears, and having sympathy for the devil could lead far more easily into corruption than redemption.
But laughter is a form of courage for those in dark places. And laughter? Jack has that in spades.

Summary
Twenty two years have passed since the defeat of Pitch, and Jack lives alone, touch-starved, with only the company of a solitary Nightmare. One evening the Man in the Moon sets him on a path that will lead him to unexpected relationships, draw the attention of the Guardians to a new coalition of villains, and challenge Jack's every notion of what it is to be good, evil, and what it is to live in the shadows.

Summary
//She can feel his ugly, crooked grin aimed at the back of her head, and remembers that he knows exactly how frightened she is right now. Because he is the Nightmare King. Because he can taste her fear on the air. Because she's in a cage, and he is not.
"Come now, my dear. You can tell old Pitch all about--"
"Look, Pitch, I'm not going to sing and dance for your entertainment just because I'm in here," she snaps, flustered and upset. "If it's all the same to you, I'll keep the few shreds of dignity I have left."
Pitch reappears smoothly in her field of vision, as if floating across the floor more than walking. He folds his hands elegantly behind his back, smiling down at her like a cat at a helpless canary -- a cat with thumbs, a working knowledge of cage locks, and a mean streak impressive even by the high standards of feline-kind. "Of course, Toothiana. And that's exactly why I'm here."//
[Written for a prompt on KM: The five times Pitch protected the Guardians, and the one time they all worked to save Pitch.
(May include eventual implied Jack/Pitch per the prompt, BECAUSE I'm a people-pleaser.)]

Summary
Jack Frost is the very embodiment of Winter. He is not always joyful, playful, and easygoing. He is also dark, cold, lonely, and, on occasion, the bringer of death. 100 years since his birth and no one has acknowledged him, spoken to him, touched him. Until one year, 1816 to be precise, he accidentally releases his powers and, with the unexpected help of several volcanic ash clouds, covers the globe in winter. He never knew such a seemingly simple thing could bring such attention to himself. But someone did notice. And that someone was fascinated.

Summary
Jack Frost's thoughts are full of Pitch. About Pitch tying him up and making him shiver and gasp. About a very adult kind of fun that's a little scary as well.
