“That’s all very flattering,” Etta says when Diana has finally run out of steam, “but surely you have more qualified candidates than me?”

“You are of the world of men.” Diana looks a little embarrassed. “But not a man.”

When asked what it feels like to be both the youngest ranger in the PPDC and the legendary Viktor Nikiforov’s co-pilot, Yuri Plisetsky looks at the camera dead on and says, “Like walking in on your parents having sex. Continuously.”

    Summary

Victor lands in Japan on New Year's Eve. Travel time included, they've been apart for a week and a half. According to Twitter, their reunion is less 'darling, I missed you' and more 'darling, they told me you were killed in Normandy.'

There are maybe two dozen pairs of eyes on them. It's mortifying, but kind of understandable.

(Or: a travelogue of a competition season. Featuring: flight delays, detours, fumbling mutual support, and the Yuuri Katsuki Hotline.)

Chirrut threw his head back, as though Baze had issued a challenge.

"I'll leave a mark on you some day," he said. It felt like a promise. Maybe a threat. "You're not a distraction. And it's not a passing fancy."

He pointed at Baze – a piece of incivility Baze felt he hardly deserved. "You watch out. I'm going to prove it. The Force is with you, Baze."

This was a perfectly conventional thing for one novitiate to say to another, by way of praise or encouragement. It was typical of Chirrut that he should have made it weird.

Chirrut pursues Baze. Kids at the Temple fic, spanning a period of 20 years.
