Enter two very unwilling parties, an extended stint of captivity, a formal courting gone haywire, negotiations and treaties and dowries up the wazoo, and a very bratty, horny, but sly jotunn!kid!Loki, who's toying with a very put-upon older Thor, who has to grit his teeth and go along with the long-drawn-out engagement to ensure peace.

It's about MOTORBIKES. A LOT OF IT is about motorbikes. And how it wrenches your romantic heart. wow. Goes to show, what I love best about the best of fics, is that fill it up with all sorts of stuff you're passionate about -- dressage, bondage, crochet, crabs -- and it'll still better at being the best full-of-feels romance. Or probably because of it.
Or maybe I don't believe in the romantic getting together as much as other things when I'm writing fic, and it comes out that way to the reader anyway, and I feel this fic sort of kind of gets that.

It's not blood and casual brutality, folks. It's how you break your reader's heart.
I've read a lot of opposing sides captive Charles fics, quite a few Stockholm fics, but this one is the absolute, frightening and frighteningly best. So harsh, so smart, so heart-breaking, so SMART. Real writer chops. I have trouble breathing thinking about this fic. WOW.
