Summary
Commissioned for help_haiti by the generous Anderyn on the prompt Sherlock and Watson on the Silk Road, travelling and having adventures, ie, the most amazing prompt ever. In penance for any metric irregularities (DON'T LOOK FOR THEM), there is also a corresponding drabble. Thank you to Aja and Lauren for their kind, kind help.

Nixon in Berlin.
It gives him something to hang onto, something other than Vat 69 to calm him down when he realises that the war is over and he has to go home.

Bookmarker's Notes
Winters/Nixon, war and post-war, sex and alcoholism.
Nixon realises well enough what he is doing - this is the kind of thing they write poetry about, right? In fact, isn't this poetry?
So what if it is? Lewis Nixon isn't going to be reciting it. He can't yet - it's still writing itself inside his body.
