If it's a game she'll play, like the chessmen. If it's a trick she'll be fooled. If it's a trap she'll close her eyes, open her mouth and swallow the bait. Just to keep Delphine standing here. Just to see her.

"Didn't you ever think about -- "
"Putting the fist of HYDRA up Captain America's ass? No, I can honestly say I never thought -- "
"Not that, Jesus Christ....Didn't you ever -- you know, try jerking yourself off with it? Fingering yoursel....?"
"Maybe, once or twice!" Bucky snapped, exasperated. "Sure! Like I told you, it's cold, it's metal, I have bad memories of strangling people with it. Kind of kills the mood." His smile was sharp and ugly.
Steve reached out with his left hand and traced the raised seam again, so gently he could barely feel the brutal join between flesh and metal. "Let's make some good ones, then. Please."
Bucky shut his eyes tight and shook his head. "You're fucking corny, Rogers. You know that? You were corny in 1933 and 1943 and you're corny now."
"That doesn't sound like a no," Steve said, hope springing up inside despite him fighting it, something painful.
"No, it's not a no. Jesus H. Roosevelt Christ. When have I ever said no to you?"
"You told me not to go to war," Steve said.

And here they were on Yavin 4, in the dead time before the logistics of moving the base and the ships and the people across whole systems were worked out, before Finn might wake up, before the best navigators and cartographers would spread out across the galaxy as far as they could, looking for the self-exiled Jedi master. Poe had said he'd wanted to visit his home, before the change -- but Finn couldn't go, and Rey couldn't leave Finn. But the General promised to send them a message herself if anything about his condition changed, anything at all. And Poe had said, with a Han Solo grin, "Aw, you wouldn't leave me down a wingman, would you?" and she hadn't gone with Han, and she still wondered what would have happened if she had. So she'd said yes, and the General had smiled.
Howard was familiar with this kind of gesture, how it went further than a touch on the arm or even the wrist but stopped short of tracing lips or cupping someone's face. It was an invitation that asked for further intimacies while granting them in return. Howard had seen this bold-and-hesitant move many times, in pubs, in dives, in darkened movie theatres, in quite a lot of hotel rooms, but not on this side of the Atlantic from a British soldier. Jarvis increased the pressure of his hold, not quite tugging but pulling Howard in, slowly, slowly, and if Howard had been less drunk, he would've probably said they should go to sleep, and if he'd been more drunk, he might have been asleep already, but he'd hit the golden sweet spot where all inhibitions dropped away and he was still in enough control of his body to fully enjoy that. The place where every Why turned effortlessly into Why not?

Julia slammed the door right as his latest number showboated to its conclusion -- like all magicians, Martin lived for theatrics -- and he looked at Marina with his usual bright keen interest, as if the whole world were under a microscope for him to dissect. "Back even before I expected!" he said brightly. "You must be absolutely helpless."
This is a missing scene from Syfy's The Magicians, between the end of "Hotel Spa Potions" (2x02) and the beginning of "Divine Elimination" (2x03). Sadly I don't think it will make much sense if you haven't seen the show. There's a brief flashback during a nightmare to a scene of rape and mass murder.
