Summary
Modern AU - Thomas is working a dead-end job as a photo tech at Isis, one of London's finest pharmacies, with little hope of a promotion. Amidst his bills piling up and his roommate Ethel getting herself into trouble, he finds himself attracted to a boy in customer Gwen Dawson's photographs. She introduces him to Edward, a blind ex-soldier with a lot of emotional baggage. Thomas helps Edward confront his fears, and Edward shows Thomas that sometimes it's okay to let somebody else carry the weight once in a while.
