Extremely clever series in which Finn grows up able to see the Force Ghost of Anakin, who's haunting Kylo Ren.

I also really like this depiction of Force Ghost Anakin, because although he's redeemed, he doesn't suddenly revert to his 23 year old self as though the latter half of his life never happened.

    Summary

Following the battle of Endor, the Alliance to Restore the Republic took a single prisoner from the attack on the Death Star. Sequestered aboard a lone ship with a skeleton crew, that prisoner sits and waits for what fate will bring him, his very existence kept a closely guarded secret. Desperately trying to work out what to do with him, the Rebel leaders send a lone analyst to speak with him, to take a record of his side of the story. They want to be able to judge him when the time is right. But who exactly is it they would be judging? And why exactly did he help destroy the galaxy - and then help save it?

AU, following on from an alternate ending for Return of the Jedi.

Probably more enjoyable to those who have seen the Rebels TV series/have experience with Extended Universe, but I have not and I loved it all the same. The rebels confront tough choices and the pain of the past after managing to capture Darth Vader- circumstances lead them to reveal the existence of Luke several years ahead of the canon schedule.

Superb characterization, of everybody involved, woven through an engaging plot which kept me up late into the night gobbling it up; a couple of my favorite things are that Luke and Ezra really are written as believable teens (and I love them both so much!), Anakin's past as a slave is addressed in a really nuanced way (in part in fights about the ethics of exploiting his intense, disturbing physical mutilations to keep him in line), the various machinations of Imperial Navy officers come into play, and the action scenes are amazing, brutal, exciting, and well-paced. Darth Vader rips a dude's head off!!

A+, waiting with bated breath for an update. Story is not abandoned, just sleeping.
