  1. Summary

There's always a moment. A point in time when something decides an inescapable fate. Maybe you zigged when you should've zagged, and suddenly, you find yourself in a world miles from where reality should be.

Sometimes, the decision made, the action done, leads to a more peaceful time. Sometimes, it leads to a crushing loss. Sometimes, it leads nowhere and life continues as if you hadn't left the real world.

    And sometimes, it damns you.

Edward Elric found that moment, when he failed to reach his brother's soul, when he failed that desperate transmutation written in blood in an old suit of armor. Instead of a journey with his brother, he found himself alone. He found himself tossed around the system, lost to the reaches of those who loved him.

He found himself in a world without his brother.

And eventually, he found himself with nothing to lose.

As everyone knows, the most dangerous creation of any society is the man who has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

The Fullmetal Alchemist became very dangerous.

  2. Summary

He heard the words; "People are gonna die, Buck. I can't let that happen. Please don't make me do this."

    This may never start,
    I'll tear us apart.
    Can I be your enemy?

It wasn't even about loyalty to Hydra anymore. It was about ending the pain. It was about the lie that he hid behind because the Soldier didn't know how to be human, to live in a world that he thought he remembered, a world that had come back to life with Steve Rogers.

Nothing made sense when Steve spoke. So Steve couldn't speak anymore. That was the way it had to be.

"Then finish it. 'Cause I'm with ya to the end of the line."

    This may never start,
    Tearing out my heart.
    And I'd be your memory.

    "Tell me who I am."
    "You're my friend."

A second chance. A way out. A long road that he did not have to take alone.

So get back to where we lasted.

  4. Summary

We were strangers, on a crazy adventure, never dreaming how our dreams would come true.

Saying "I do" was the easy part. It's getting from "I do" to the actual altar that's a hassle.

    Summary

“They lied to you. I lied to you. You died like you were supposed to and that was the end of it. But you’re back,” Bucky’s voice lifts helpless, disbelieving, “You’re alive. And you need to know. That you’re not who you think you are. You’re an orphan. Your mother gave you up the day you were born. They found you in the orphanage and the tests started right away. They never stopped testing you. They made you sick so you’d find a way to survive. They sent the bullies so you’d learn to fight.”

“What are you talking about? Who’s ‘they’?” Steve’s voice is too sharp.

“Erskine. Zola. Hydra before it was Hydra,” Bucky gestures through the air, “They’ve always had us, Steve. From day one.” His eyes focus on Steve’s face, “You’ve always been a science experiment.”

“Bucky,” Steve voice is dismayed, “That doesn’t— Why would they make me sick?”

Bucky looks at him for a second. “Blond hair, blue eyes. You had all the right ingredients. But Erskine knew it was what was inside that counted,” Bucky knocks two fingers against his chest and Steve realizes they’re shaking, “He didn’t just find a guy who would jump on a grenade, Steve,” Bucky’s eyebrows lift, “He made one.”
