Summary
Aymeric de Borel is not, despite the suspicions of many throughout his life, naive. He is fully aware of the depths to which man can stoop, has seen the evidence of depravity time and again. As he once told young Alphinaud, it takes a certain kind of man to become Lord Commander, and one does not become that man without losing certain illusions.
And yet. He is guilty of being idealistic, he knows. Of possessing a strong sense of justice. Of from time to time believing that others will act accordingly, when presented with the truth.
Never before has that particular sin betrayed him so fully.

Summary
A pirate they call him. So be it. He’ll take the title as he takes everything else he can from them. He’ll take it all, every last coin and jewel and dagger.
Never will it equal what King Mors has taken from him.

Summary
Ignis was one of the few who knew that Noctis had survived the Marilith attack at the age of eight, and one of the very few who’d not had a memory spell cast upon them to forget the fact. At the age of ten he’d pledged to the King he would never reveal the secret, and he’d kept his word. But to do so he’d had to promise to not seek Noctis out on his own, to not put his best friend and prince in danger.
Now, twelve years later, the King had asked Ignis to go in person to assure Noctis was safe, was well—and Ignis’s heart had leapt in his chest.
(or, Noct grows up as a commoner in Hammerhead, and how that changes everything)

Summary
The King of Light defeats the darkness, dying in the process and leaving all who knew him behind to mourn even as they greet the new dawn.
Six months later, a dark-haired man washes ashore on the rocky beach of a remote island in the far north of Cavaugh. He has no memory of his life before, no idea of who he might have been or how he acquired the strange array of scars that cover his body. He is taken in and accepted by the villagers who find him, starting a new life as a simple fisherman.
Four years later, three former Royal Retainers visit the island--and recognize the man, now known as Theo. He is, undoubtedly, Noctis Lucis Caelum.
But will he believe them? Will his memory return? And will he again find happiness in the arms of the man he once loved?

Summary
Noctis was Prompto’s best friend in the world. He’d had crazy amounts of pressure on him all during high school, he’d had an engagement to someone he hadn’t even seen in twelve years sprung on him pretty much out of nowhere, then had his father and home destroyed by Nifilheim’s betrayal. And now the Empire was trying to kill him.
He’d been through pressure and trauma and shit that Prompto could barely begin to understand, and now the expectation of everyone they’d ever known was riding on him. It was shitty, it was a lot, and Prompto didn’t envy him at all.
But none of that changed the fact that Noct was being a brat.
(Or, Prompto finds out what kind of things the other three get up to behind closed doors, and gets invited to join in)

Summary
[Zuko doesn’t know how he got here.
Actually, that’s a total lie—he knows perfectly well how he got here. Fire Lord Zuko hasn’t slept in anything longer than a quick catnap in three days— the first two because of a somewhat routine, but excessively bloody, botched assassination attempt and the third because of the envoy from the South Pole. Relations between the other nations have warmed drastically since the end of the war, but Zuko will be apologizing for his country until the day he dies, and matters still need to be handled delicately.
And if said matters involve his best friend’s father, well.
There are some secrets that should be kept to oneself.]
Or,
Sokka’s dad’s got Zuko down bad.

Summary
Noctis's cheeks are flushed, and he bites his lip. "I didn't mean like that. I mean-- can you teach me? Can you-- can you show me? You've done it, right?"
"I have, though I'm not certain I understand what you're asking for," Ignis says, brows drawing together as he considers. Noctis blushes more, cheeks darkening a rusty pink, and Ignis suddenly connects the dots. "Noctis, are you asking me to have sex with you?"

Summary
If someone tried to kill Noctis when he was a kid, there’s no reason people aren’t still trying. Prompto wants to stay in Noct’s orbit even after high school, and he decides the best way to do that is to start prepping for the Crownsguard entrance exam. If he can get into the Crownsguard, he’ll be able to do something if things go sideways when he’s out with Noct.
After an attempt on Noctis results in civilian casualties, neither Prompto nor Noctis are prepared for the political backlash. And when Noctis discovers that Prompto has Crownsguard ambitions, he wrestles with his desire to protect his best friend (and crush) and the reality that Prompto wants to put himself in danger for his sake.
