Summary
After the Battle of the Pelennor ended, Aragorn labored in the House of Healing, and Imrahil tried to put the city back together. Then the Army of the West had to gather and make its way to the Black Gate, and back.
Chapter 1: Faramir and Aragorn found one another to be allies from the very first, from when Aragorn first called to Faramir in the House of Healing.
Chapter 2: Imrahil of Dol Amroth is grateful that the King has returned, but he cannot forget that Aragorn left them once, some thirty years before. Oh yes, and he also has a city to run, an army to re-muster, and a decided lack of trained, breathing help. Meanwhile, the aid of his youngest son Amrothos and Faramir's ranger lieutenant Dervorin is a mixed blessing.

Summary
This series is Faramir-centric, in an AU where Faramir is secretly the illegitimate son of Aragorn. In the course of writing the first main story about Faramir and Aragorn beginning to work together before they knew about this relationship (Beginnings & Endings), I rather got derailed into developing a bunch of other characters, which is where most of the stories come from. It is entirely my intention to return to finish Beginnings & Endings, but my muse is most certainly taking the scenic route. Below in the notes I have listed the major distinctions from, and certain elaborations on, the canon of Tolkien's Legendarium, for purposes of this AU, which I am calling the Desperate Hours alternate universe, G version (DH AU G).

In the spirit of the Midgardian holiday season, Thor reaches out to his estranged brother in a last-ditch attempt to help him remember the home he'd lost. Summary
"Your tears are a disgrace. Your struggles are a disgrace. Real warriors do not cry and they do not lose control. They are not cowards. They are strong. You are my brother, and a son of Odin is supposed to be strong. Your weakness is a disgrace.”
He thinks the hotness inside might be guilt.
