Summary
He barely even notices the ones who pull his hair or slap him or call him filthy names; it's nothing he's not used to. He's taken much, much worse for years; at least now he's getting paid for it...
Another brief scene out of young Gojyo's hardscrabble lost years between losing Jien and meeting Banri; contains non-explicit but potentially disturbing references to underaged male prostitution, and indirect references to past physical and emotional child abuse.

She doesn't quite look like she's sleeping...
Not all first times are beginnings -- a brief look at one of the bleakest hours of Gojyo's childhood. Potentially disturbing content, but warnings are spoilery: please skip to the end notes if you want more specific details before deciding to read.

Summary
"...We both really are rather pathetic on the communication front, aren't we?"
Post-journey introspective romantic angst, Hakkai-POV: in which the boys find that the things they are closest to can be hardest to see clearly, and wherein much ado is made about the kappa's Stupid Shiny Pretty Hair (TM). Slight spoilers for details of their canon backstories (up to the Be There and Chin Yisou arcs); contains brief, non-explicit references to off-screen, past child abuse and underage prostitution.

Summary
He's just trying not to hurt what little pride I've got left, sure that I'll catch up with what he means but isn't saying sooner or later. Just like my brother...goddamn subtext.
Introspective Gojyo-POV: sometime shortly after the Kami-sama arc, the kappa has a rough night facing bad memories. Sometimes the worst nightmares aren't about the most obvious traumas, sometimes the deepest scars are the ones that can't be seen. Gen Gojyo/Hakkai friendship piece, with possible hints of deep-in-denial pre-slashy 585 if you squint at it through the right shippy goggles. Contains slight spoilers for Gojyo and Hakkai's backstories, and brief, non-explicit references to off-screen, past child abuse, violence and underage prostitution.

Summary
For all that they were supposed to be allies now, she still couldn't stand his attitude. Every time he spoke, his voice seemed to ring with condescension -- not that he spoke all that much, or that the silence was much of an improvement. Growing up with Sokka, she never would have believed that a boy who didn't say much could ever be more annoying than one who never stopped talking; the exiled Fire Nation prince had proven just how wrong she was.
Katara-POV, set shortly after Zuko joined the group: an awkward late-night conversation is the beginning of an uneasy rapprochement between two mistrustful former enemies. Genfic, although if viewed through optional Zutaran shipping goggles this could be read as the first fumbling steps on the path to something more than gen.

Summary
This is an (eventual) ficlet series in (sort-of) progress, exploring Gojyo's lost years from age 12 to 15. At its current barely-begun state, the existing pieces really can be read as stand-alone ficlets if so desired. Ratings will vary from section to section, but potentially disturbing content abounds; while I am trying not to wallow excessively in dark themes, any readers who have difficulty with even fairly indirect references to many common triggery subjects might prefer to skip this one.
