Summary
The alternate universe where Arthur's a pianist and Eames is a lyric baritone and their love is so lieder, omg. Blame Lately for this whole thing. *waves hand over assorted fics*

This series is classical music porn in all the best ways. Beautifully written, realistic, and made of love. EAMES IS A LYRIC BARITONE. That's all you need to know, really.

Summary
"Commander Spock, we have located your son," the Vulcan lady on the screen says, which would be great, except Jim can tell by the look on Spock's face that he's never heard of this kid before in his life. "If it is expedient, the child will be sent to join you on the Enterprise within the week."

Easily the best kid!fic I have ever read, So Wise We Grow takes a familiar slash premise (Kirk and Spock have to raise a child together, oh dear!) and turns it into something plausible, beautiful, and emotionally wrenching. Shockingly (and gratifyingly), it's largely plot-driven, both in terms of the Vulcan boy and his adjustment to the Enterprise and the crew's general adventures in space. The insights into Jim and Spock are marvelous, and by the end it had me in tears several times over. Brilliant.

Perfect, perfect, and more perfect. Given the sparseness of canon and the AU setting, this could easily be an original work, and yet it still feels familiar and IC. It's heartwarming in every way, beautifully written, and coffee guru!Eames is one of my favorite incarnations ever.

Bookmarker's Notes
An absolutely stunning look at Arthur and Eames as they become a couple--a very real couple, with domesticity and traditions/habits and difficult times and complicated families and passion and fights and the overwhelming devotion that carries them through. Everything in this 'verse is gold in a way that feels almost definitive. Truly incredible.

Bookmarker's Notes
A perfectly realized, absorbing, gorgeously written AU. The snark and the fluff and the smut are hysterical, heart-meltingly sweet, and appallingly hot, respectively, but read this for the soft, dark touches of pain and grief and the grounded, supremely realistic characters. Merlin's work at the hospital in particular has a level of detail that makes it human and personal, and the added graphic renderings of the media reactions add a fun "it could have happened" flavor.
