    Summary

"Our tsar has three sons. Handsome lads, if one appreciates such things. None are married...yet." The old woman snorts. "That's why you're here, though, isn't it?"

"I'm to return the arrow to its archer. I know nothing beyond that. Other than it's," Vasilissa's mouth twists, "fate."

    "So you find it cruel?"

The hut closes around her, the air warm and heavy. It's thick with the sent of rosemary and sage from the bundles of herbs hanging from the beams above them. The bones of previous suppers (hares and chickens and maybe even men) rattle in a hauntingly soothing melody. "I'd rather find it kind. But at the moment, I miss my shop." She shakes her head, and some of the syrupy warmth tugging at her mind fades. "It's childish of me, I know."

    "And you're no child."

A gorgeous fairytale, told in the traditional style.

(for the PL fan meme. prompt: Anton is a *real* vampire. yes, i filled it twice.) Luke tried to jerk away, but the shadows had him, now, wrapped around his wrists, tilting his head to the side, and he wanted to close his eyes, as if he could shut it away, as if he could open them and none of it would have happened--

--but he didn't, and so he saw the Professor force his way through the crowd behind them, looking-- absolutely furious, when Luke wasn't sure he'd ever seen the Professor more than 'vaguely annoyed'.

    Summary

Here unfolds a tale of war, desire, and warring desires.

After the invasion of New York, Tony figures out Loki’s game, and he lays out an ultimatum that he realizes the trickster can’t escape from, maneuvering Loki into agreeing to be an ally, rather than a foe, if only when the time comes.

A god’s sworn word is a promise that the god cannot break, but once Thanos’ head is parted from his shoulders, all bets will be off: no protections, no alliance, Loki free to do whatever he pleases, so long as he can still evade recapture at Asgard’s hands. So it’s simple, Tony tells himself: trust the war, not the god.

It should have been simple. It was doomed to be anything but, because infatuation has no place in a war-zone, but Tony is prone to impropriety at all sorts of slightly impractical times, or he wouldn’t have wound up with the god of lies in his bed so frequently in the first place. Practicality and safe-distance plans are all going wrong, and Tony likes it too much to stop.

This is amazing. Some minor technical flaws with grammar and punctuation, but this is an incredible long and detailed depiction of how Loki and Tony get together and build a serious relationship with each other. The worldbuilding is fascinating, the original characters are likeable, the plot works and fits together so well... I am going to reread this multiple times, I can already tell.

    Bookmarker's Notes

Found the first story on ffnet, loved it, found it here much later and was reminded why - it is well-plotted and well-written, and I was very happy to read the rest of the series as well. This series builds their relationship without ignoring their problems, and while I did not expect the resolution I find it extremely satisfying.

    Summary

The day after the invasion Tony wakes up and his tower is intact again; everything is exactly the way it was before this whole mess went down. It doesn’t take him long to catch up but he can’t figure out why he’s in a time loop – so he does what anyone would: fuck things up while trying to find a way to fix this. Somewhere along the way, his priorities change and suddenly he finds himself involved neck-deep in Norse family drama, along with some other stuff.

    Bookmarker's Notes

A very enjoyable take on time loops which is beautifully written - not just the plot itself, the technical skills are impressive too. And to think I only found it because a different story had a reference to the Pink Tutu...
