  Summary

  Set during Season 3's Helpless. Spike returns to Sunnydale and finds out about the Council's test. Knowing that Buffy will be weakened, he enters the house to kill her before Kralik gets to her, but finds Joyce there instead at Kralik's mercy. Things get complicated for him from there.
