Derek says, "We're not arguing about this, it's already done."
"Like hell we're not fighting about this," Stiles says, indignant. "What were you thinking?"
"I was thinking it was worth the risk if it kept you alive! And it worked, so drop it."
"You had no idea that it was going to work!" Stiles throws his hands up. Why is Derek the most frustrating werewolf in the history of ever, why is Stiles even helping him, why is this his life? "Why did they even believe you in the first place?"
Derek says, "You reeked of me," which is unfair. Stiles only smelled because he'd gotten covered in Derek's bodily fluids trying to staunch the bleeding.

How far is a werewolf's hearing range, anyway? Stiles files that on the list of Things I Really Need To Get Derek To Tell Me and shifts in his seat. There's still time to call Scott & Isaac. His phone hadn't gone off on the drive over, which means they haven't found what they're looking for yet.

He replayed all the pathetic bits of his self-revelations from his drunken babblings to the sheriff over again in his mind, from the man’s seemingly sympathetic “If anyone had told me werewolves, it would have explained a hell of a lot,” to his playing his own dead wife card to get Chris to talk about Victoria, damnit. Damnit. Victoria. Gerard. Kate. All of them. So stupid. Bullheaded. Bloodthirsty, thinking they’d live forever, had some right to.
Why did he have to love such stupid people, who didn’t understand the difference between honor, vengeance, violence and murder? Why did his little girl have to understand all these things, and love a werewolf?

Chris Argent hadn't really thought the sheriff was stupid, had he? The problem was he hadn't thought about it at all.
