http://avengerkink.livejournal.com/9218.html?thread=20178690#t20178690This was two fics, the first called 'The Wrath of Coulson', but hell with it, they make one pretty easily. Darcy is a bit shy of Alphas because one tried to rape her in the past. Currently she's working at SHIELD, and is close to Coulson, who's a nice, respectful Alpha and actually has what is essentially an Omega panic room for badly-timed heats or whatever. When the same guy and his asshole friends attack Darcy again, she gets to safety just in time for Coulson to decimate them. Moved by this display of ferocious Alpha-ness on top of their solid friendship, Darcy gets him to take care of her in her next heat, all nice and consensual and loving. And dirty, of course.
And then I added more. Standby for some background and a relationship.

Until she finally retired, Natasha Romanoff had to answer a lot of rookie questions. One of the most popular questions was, "why does the SHIELD handbook ban the words 'routine assignment'?"
She would look each rookie dead in the eye and tell them, "Once, during a mission, Agent Barton got in so much trouble that he was off field duty for three weeks. Also on that mission, a building exploded, monsters were unleashed into a town in Arizona, and for a while there were two Tony Starks. Technically, only the first one happened because Agent Barton called it a 'routine assignment'. But technically, SHIELD doesn't exist, and Roswell was a weather balloon."

He wasn't a threat here – he wasn't an issue. Just a bystander - someone who didn't know what was really going on here. Except that Harry did know – he knew enough, because he knew Bruce and he knew lies and he knew being hunted and in the end this was Bruce's choice.
