In New York City, surgical resident and Korean War veteran Charles Xavier is feeling increasingly disconnected from the world around him, save for the children that he helps treat. All of this changes with the arrival of a nameless man pulled out of the Hudson, whom Charles finds himself increasingly drawn to.

Summary
Modern-day AU...it's not clear whether or not powers exist, but if they do, they certainly aren't obvious. Erik Lensherr is a profoundly disturbed twelve-year-old who hears Charles Xavier as a voice in his head. Things you will find in this story: an out-of-control teenage Tony Stark, a green card marriage, and a sinister plot (not necessarily in that order).
(P.S. If you like Tony/Steve, just wait a few chapters...it's in there in spades. If you like Erik & Charles, patience is not necessary.)

Summary
Charles and Erik have been friends forever, and boyfriends for a while. Charles is a wheelchair user, and Erik likes to ride on the back when he's powering across campus. A well meaning bystander tells Erik he's being disrespectful of Charles and this throws Erik for a loop.
