When Thor returns with Loki at the end of 'Avengers' Odin is so angry that he resolves to do anything it takes to fix Loki. Anything at all. Cue the slippery slope - Odin locks Loki up in a room only he himself can access. Finally, it occurs to Odin to remake Loki completely by breaking him and building him back up.

After the events of The Avengers Loki is sent back to Asgard. On grounds of insanity, Loki is to remain in his - admittedly spacious - chambers and is regularly visted by mind healers, friends and family. Remembering a bit of advice someone gave him on Midgard, he begins to write lists. It soon becomes a macabre look into his mind.

Summary
Prompt: Magneto is the ruler of the posthuman world.
His only secret? Charles Xavier, the human he's kept locked in his bedroom ever since his right-hand woman, Mystique, came to him pleading for mercy for her stepbrother, who accepted her mutant form and protected her as a child. The human he started fucking after Mystique was killed in battle, despite the guilt he feels at contaminating even this last promise to the woman who was integral to his life's work and happiness.

" Okay guys, as much as I like the Loki!feels and he's misunderstood and he makes a fantastic avenger, I would like to see more fic where Loki (whatever he's doing/threatening/not saying) is absolutely fucking terrifying and we the reader get to hear WHY- from the point of view of one of the Avengers.

Steve Rogers doesn't remember his life before the decades he spent in that cold, dark prison cell but he does know that he was saved from it by the man whose collar he now wears and happily serves the man now to repay his kindness. He just doesn't remember that Master was the one who locked him in that prison to begin with.
