    Summary

"You come in, looking like that, and you say you don't want it?"

    Notes

Perfect voice and believable characterization for post-film Narrator/Tyler. As fucked up as it should be and deliciously so.

    Summary

Charles Xavier has returned from the dead -- but is lost within his own mind. Rogue has cast aside her own power and doesn't know where she fits in the world any longer. The production of synthetic Cure means mutantkind itself is newly at risk. And Magneto, turned human against his will, is in despair until the day he feels a familiar consciousness tugging at his own --

Set after X-3 (with much desperate fix-it applied), during XMFC, and every time in between.

    Notes

Excellently characterized multiple-POV story that takes all the best parts about the xmmv/xmfc and blends them together. Set post-X3, it's a solid read with emotionally satisfying get-togethers and a plot that that's meaty enough to sustain the length.

I never really thought I'd be interested in reading fic about Ari and Uzi, but here I am being proven wrong in spades. This is one of those fics which feels like it truly belongs in the canon. Another commenter noted on one of the things which also stood out to me: the flaws and brokenness of the Tenenbaums remains, and yet, the characters retain their humanity. An all around spectacular fic for the fandom.

    Summary

    A study. A cycle.

    Notes

Amazingly beautiful prose and word choices. This fic opens up more depth to the world using what is a subtle here-and-gone visual metaphor in the film. This is everything a Dark City fic should be!

  5. Rec 3

    Summary

    Reunited.

Beautifully written fic that's entirely Borden-centric. A strong focus on the mysticism of twinhood, loneliness, and need.
