The all-true story of how I got into fandom:
I had a Livejournal. A friend commented with an icon showing a picture of Remus Lupin and Sirius Black with the caption "Lovers." I responded with righteous indignation that Remus and Sirius weren't gay, no way, no how, and really that was kinda gross. The friend laughed, directed me to the Shoebox Project, and told me that if I still thought the way I did after reading that, she'd stop using the icon.
That was in 2005. I never looked back.
I occasionally blog about books, tv, movies, hockey, and the odd life event at Dreamwidth.
I more frequently post pictures and yell incoherently about things on Tumblr.
You never need to ask my permission to remix, podfic, translate, archive, create art for, or create any secondary fanwork of any fanwork I have posted, provided that you make no profit by doing so and provide a link back to the original work. I would also love it if you would send me a link to your fanwork so I can admire it appropriately.
However, I do ask that you refrain from sending links to my fanworks to the creators of their sources, no matter how chill with fanworks they seem to be.
