  1. Summary

Jack Harkness is a man with a long, storied past. Only a fraction of it is 'known', but so much more of it has shaped him. These are the stories that have not been told, the impacts seen but kept hidden.

This is the tale of a man granted eternity, and it is a cautionary one, children. There is a reason everything comes to an end. Here there is no Happily Ever After ...

I love this series. Such fantastic characterisations, and a wonderful adaptation of a Ngaio Marsh tale in the first piece. Cousin Violet fits the Sherlock world so easily; she, the other npcs, and each story are so excellently written. The third piece is, as of bookmarking, still a wip, but it is all more than worth a read. Fabulous Johnlock.

They'd never talked about sex in the year they'd known each other. Well, that wasn't quite correct: Sherlock had never said a word about sex; John had bemoaned his personal dearth of it on many occasions.

The sexiest Johnlock classic in existence. If you haven't read it, you need to get your head right and do so immediately.

    Bookmarker's Notes

A classic Johnlock series inspired by Queer as Folk. One of my most favourites, I love the concept of and characterisation in this AU. Sherlock is so often portrayed as the underinformed, or even ignorant virgin, and that is flipped on its ear here, where he uses his brilliant brain to write a highly-visible blog as a seduction consultant. He and his long suffering roommate and best friend John spend their nights clubbing and chasing that evening's conquest instead of chasing criminals, all while fending off Sherlock's coterie of twink fanboys. Not only does it have me reliving my scene kid youth, but I am wreathed secondarily in the faint background glow of QaF (both versions being dear to me) that very obviously gave the setting and characters some foundation. It is its own place and its own tale, though, not just a mash up or remix, and it does have some murder and mayhem mixed with the clubbing, drama and romance. And sexy times. It's fabulous. I come back to this setting time and time again.
