Summary
The Legislacerator formerly known as Terezi Pyrope is dedicated to her profession, but, at 13 sweeps old, she finds herself growing more and more frustrated by Legislaceratorial corruption ... not to mention the dull, unglamorous investigations she keeps getting saddled with. A particularly tedious assignment to the outskirts of the Empire, however, has her stumbling across something much more deeply illegal than she ever expected to deal with – something that, if not brought to a halt, could spell the downfall of the Alternian Empire.

Summary
Two sweeps after being forced to leave his friends in the clutches of the Empire, Karkat has become a captain in the Rebellion - a scattered force of anti-Imperial freedom fighters, bent on bringing down the Condesce and the exploitative troll society she dictates. But when a chance encounter with a long lost friend proves to him that the others are still alive, Karkat takes his ship deep into Empire territory, in a risky last ditch effort to fix the mess he left behind.
