Summary
The original plan for returning to England involved fucking around being shellshocked and suffering mandatory post-combat counseling and physical therapy to dissect the shattered mosaic of his feelings. That's not quite how it goes.

The last thing Sherlock Holmes expected to see when he was trying to prise information from Sebastian Moran's brother was John submitting to what was going to be a rather flawed session on domination.

Summary
The first part of the series is a 2k word study guide which explains a lot about how Steve (and Bucky, and Howard) would have viewed what we call homosexuality. I even include a glossary and references. Go me.
The first story (which is the second part of the series) explores how he gets involved with the queer culture of the 1930s, how that affects his relationship with Bucky, and what it means when he becomes involved with Howard Stark. It addresses Steve's self-perceptions about his own body and sexuality in an era that was both highly restrictive of gender roles and far more open about sexuality than we realize.
Status as of 3/31/13:
The second story (which will be the third part of the series) occurs after Steve is pulled from the ice, and how he adapts to vastly different world. It will definitely be Steve/Tony/Pepper, but also Steve/Winter Soldier. While a lot of it has been written, it's still far from complete. My first, optimistic hope was to start posting it at the start of April. HA HA HA nope. :( I expect to start posting hopefully by the end of April. Sorry for delays!- Words:

A long, rambling what-if of Loki's scepter working the first time around, a string of bad nights when the nightmares were too close, and a second go at a relationship that might work if they just tried, and if they weren't both so good at self-sabotage.

Summary
In "Won't Happen Again," Phil and Clint become accidental Bondmates. Since there are three distinct steps to permanent Bonding, it comes as something of a surprise to them that they end up this way.
The stories that follow "Won't Happen Again" are missing scenes from that story and show us what it's like to be consummate professionals consummately bound.

There is no way to be accidentally Bonded. A true Bond takes three levels of deliberate words and actions, requires total and equal commitment from the bondmates, and cannot be done casually.
Or, Phil and Clint are big damned heroes who manage to defy expectations yet again. Color no one surprised.

It’s not that he and Tony don’t get along. It’s more that Tony got so drunk on New Year’s Eve that he kissed Steve full on the mouth in front of everyone and called him Shirley and then laughed until he passed out.
