Summary
Those of the higher realms take a long time to mature, their childhoods strung out into centuries to the year.
Loki takes his revenge for a long ago slight, and Odin decides to send him away to Midgard so he can learn what it means to go without, to depend on others and scrape at the edges. To be hungry.
Yet, Loki is a child, quick witted besides, he must be kept from turning it all to his advantage, and Odin is not willing to strip even more knowledge from his adopted son's mind. So his heritage is revealed gently, and told it will keep him safe from the biting winters. His powers will return as he becomes more worthy, and he will return to Asgard as a Prince ought.
The People of Midgard, well some of them are more accepting than others.
A norsekink fill posted in order and edited.

Summary
The muzzle and shackles at the end of Avengers were intended to deny Loki access to his magic- no hand movements to channel it, no voice to speak it.
In Asgard, it's decided that to remove the threat of Loki ever using his magic again, his lips will be sewn- but then, that might not be enough. So his tongue and vocal chords are removed as well, and so are his hands.

Summary
Originally a fill posted at norsekink in response to the prompt:
"After the Avengers capture Loki at the end of the movie, they lock him up as a precaution before shipping him off to Asgard. And being the good guys, they decide to give him the chance to bathe and dress in clean clothes instead of sleeping in his own dirty rags.
The problem is, without the whole battle gear and the drawn and mean look, Loki looks surprisingly young, which prompts the Avengers to ask Thor just how old Loki really is. Of course Loki is centuries old, but Thor tells them that in human standard, Loki would still be considered underage!
Cue to horrified Avengers who wants to know exactly what sort of crappy home life Loki must have had to end up like this before even reaching adulthood."
It rather spiralled from there into a behemoth, now in the process of being edited and hopefully cleaned of glaring plotholes! Updated daily.

It's motherfucking WANDERING CHILD. READ IT.
Epic douchebaggery everywhere. And Pain. And Angst. And Loki has no idea what consent is.

Summary
Written for a Norsekink prompt. AU. When no one comes to their rescue on Jötunheimr, Loki is forced to lead Thor, Sif, Hogun, Volstagg and Fandral through his secret paths between worlds. To the surprise of his friends: it's a lot more dangerous than they ever suspected. Loki's either very brave or very crazy to travel the Underworld and the Dreamlands. Crossover with the Cthulhu mythos (specifically, Lovecraft's Dream Cycle).

Summary
When Loki returned--when he finally came back and Odin could explain and Loki would listen and everything would be well again--they would go on a trip. They'd wander the woods for days and tell stories and Odin would tell Loki over and over how much he loved him. And, eventually, Loki would believe him again.
It would be the perfect father-son trip. Their first father-son trip.
---
Odin is old and weary and wants his family back. He wants his little boy back and he'll do anything to get him. Even if it means traveling to Midgard. Even if it means telling another lie.

Bookmarker's Notes
Odin loves his sons equally. He does. So why is it when he reviews his memories he finds this is not so? Thor's had enough time, he's going to bring his son home.
