Summary
Canton Everett Delaware the Third is married in all but license to a man he sometimes feels like strangling and who smiles like a lovelorn idiot whenever Canton is "romantic."
Sam, said man Canton loves beyond all reason, teaches at the high school three hours away (meaning he gets up at an ungodly hour in the morning) and Canton actually does do work.
Consulting.
He refuses to talk to Sam about it, usually beating his head against a door frame whenever he returns from a consulting job that takes place for about a month.
Sam is very good at not asking, but Canton always tells him anyway, even when he shouldn't.
He holds onto a promise made by a madman with a box and Sam's arms wrapped tightly around him when being excluded gets too much.
It is the most open minded town in America, Canton is sure of it.
Doesn't stop them from being human, just like everyone else.
And then, one day, in 1972, a promise was kept.
And the Doctor shook up Canton's life all over again, in far more Earth shattering ways.

Having no other choice he takes Bilbo and raises him with Fili and Kili as a dwarf and Prince of Durin. Enter Bilbo, the Hobbit raised by Dwarfs. Includes childhood, adolescents, adulthood, battles, Smaug and annoying Gandalf.

Hobbit kink meme: So I've read several stories of Bilbo meeting up with Thorin and company in the grey havens, but I'd like to see it from Frodos point of view.
What's his reaction when Bilbo gets mobbed by dwarves after stepping off the boat? And does he have a near heart attack when his uncle starts making out with the dwarven king? After all- I can't imagine that Bilbo ever told him that part of the story before.
