Summary
Written for the Female Character Trope Fest. Prompt was Natasha/Pepper, telepathic bond (of the unwanted and awkward sort).
Canon is a little bit skewed, basically pretend that final scene before the credits of Iron Man 3 didn't happen.
Warning: somewhat dubcon (see endnotes for spoilers)

Summary
Owen had always thought the end of the world was going to be some apocalyptic catastrophe full of mayhem, heads rolling, and the dead walking the earth. In reality, it’s a lot cleaner and a lot less dinosaur-filled than he could have hoped for, although that walking dead thing seems to stick. There’s this whole big epic battle being fought between Misha and Misha over the pond, with either winner intent on screwing over humanity one way or another.
Owen's pretty sure Lucifer's version would have involved a lot more fire and brimstone, while Michael was (from all reports out of America before communications went down) more about the smiting white light and smug proclamations. Either way, it wasn't going to end pretty.

It's not like Shepard is a bad dancer not really, she just...doesn't like it. Much. At all. And okay, so maybe her rhythm is a bit off and sure, she never really knows what to do with her hands, but that doesn't mean she's bad, just awkward. Which isn't much better, but still.
She's Commander Shepard, she can dance however she damn well pleases, it's not like her dancing would end the war or stop the Geth or shift the oncoming storm of Reapers that haunt her dreams.
Or rather, that one time Tali attempts to teach Shepard how to dance.

Summary
On Monday they get word about another rogue pack making trouble in Wichita. Allison throws her bow in the backseat, Lydia tosses their suitcases in the trunk, and they’re on the road before the sun starts peaking above the skyline. Nothing but red streaks and cool brisk morning air greets them along the highway. Allison drums her fingers along the steering wheel, keeping time with the soft beat of the music. Lydia paints her lips in bright red.
It’s just another Monday.

Summary
Derek hates the Laundromat, hates it with every fiber of his being, but the train station doesn’t have running water and he’s in dire need of clean clothes. Babying a pack of betas was not exactly easy on his wardrobe choices. He’s gone through at least five tank tops, shredded beyond repair, and the other three probably won’t even survive the wash, his needle and thread patch-ups having never quite been up to snuff.
As he’s learned more often than not, just because he hates something, doesn't mean he doesn't have to deal with it. So, with a huff, he tugs on the duffle full of dirty clothes he’d stashed in the trunk.

Summary
“You know, Starbuck,” she says, “It wouldn’t be so bad, you and Lee, if you weren’t such a bitch.”
Kara huffs out a laugh through her nose. “I thought we agreed to skip the chit-chat, Dualla.”
“You must be a fantastic frak.”
Kara twists her mouth into a grin and leans in close to Dee’s cheek, until the other woman looks away. “You have no idea.”
Kara and Dee, handcuffed together.

"And this is how we're going to leave our legacies?" Shepard says. "You and me after the war, poorly domesticated, sewing ugly curtains and begging fellow colonists for scraps. No wonder they wouldn't let us adopt those Krogan babies."

In which Arkady manages to be a great nuisance, despite never appearing in the story, and Tharkay is thoroughly unsettled.

“Oh! Are they here finally?”
Iskierka landed in the covert, just back from feeding, and craned her bloody head over Tharkay’s shoulder; he was obliged to open the case again, that she might see inside. The heat from her proximity was considerable, and he made sure to grip the wood carefully, that it did not slip out of his sweaty grasp.
“Those are very nice,” she rumbled approvingly. “I must order some for Granby, only I would like there to be more rubies and also dragons, instead of silly bird things—”
“I think the birds quite nice,” Temeraire interrupted indignantly. "And it's not as though Granby could use them when you are always spitting fire everywhere."
“—and perhaps there could be flames, licking around the barrel? But they do very well for you,” Iskierka told Tharkay, ignoring Temeraire entirely. “Do you like them? I know it is late, but Temeraire and Laurence would go on acting like scrubs and I have only just recently set them straight.”

FAVORITE FIC!! TSC Gift, Isaac being adorable, threesome Scott/Stiles/Allison goodness, and all around AMAZINGNESS.
“So. Thing one.” She doesn’t look up from his resume, he doesn’t look away from the mug of pens on her desk. There is a picture of a teddy bear hugging a heart on it, faded and spill-stained, and it kind of creeps him out a little. “Everyone in this office is sleeping with at least one other person in the office. I suggest you get on that. It keeps things cleaner.”
